Bishop Kenneth M. Yelverton is the Founder and Senior Pastor of The Temple of Refuge International Fellowship, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is anointed to extract from the Holy Scriptures revelatory messages that bring deliverance and healing to the total person; mind, body, and spirit. Bishop Kenneth Yelverton is the last of seven children, born to Bishop & Mrs. Frizelle Yelverton of Durham, North Carolina. After graduating from Hillside High School, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte In preparation for ministry, he obtained a Master of Divinity Degree from the Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, NC, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree as a Donald Hilliard - Leonard Sweet Fellow, from Drew University in Madison, NJ. After much prayer, in January of 1999 Bishop and Lady Yelverton launched The Temple of Refuge in the heart of Charlotte, NC.

Minister Sharon A. Yelverton shares in ministry with her husband, Bishop Kenneth M. Yelverton, Pastor & Founder of The Temple Of Refuge International Fellowship, an innovative and progressive ministry located in Charlotte, North Carolina. With a true heart for women, it was through this ministry that she founded the Daughters Of Virtue & Excellence Women’s Ministry. Through the DOVE Ministry was birthed a Married Women’s Ministry, Single Moms Ministry, and a Young Adult Women’s Ministry. She works diligently along side her husband to oversee the administration of the Church.

She is an active Board member of “Calling First Ladies”, a ministry founded by Dr. Wanda Davis Turner which strives to support and meet the spiritual needs of those persons whose spouses are prominent figures in their community and the nation. Minister Yelverton has attended the White House’s Annual National First Ladies Summit which is held in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to allow African American Pastor Wives an opportunity to come together and celebrate the values of what Dr. King stood for. She is also a member of this First Ladies Summit which meets every year. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and worked as a Computer Programmer at Bank Of America for 10 years before her work in fulltime ministry. She has plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in Christian Counseling.

Minister Yelverton is a woman of great faith and trust in God for every area of her life. She is fully committed to the purpose of God in the earth, and strives to serve God's people in a spirit of excellence. With the many responsibilities that she has to perform, she exemplifies the spirit of excellence nowhere better than in the home. She is the proud mother of two beautiful children, daughter Kendall Monet Yelverton and son Kendrick Anthony Yelverton.

The Temple of Refuge is a vibrant ministry noted for its powerful preaching, dynamic worship, and community impact. Bishop Yelverton is Founder and Visionary of The I.M.P.A.K.T. Network, which stands for Interdependent Ministries and Pastors Aligned for Kingdom Training. IMPAKT is a network of Ministries and Pastors connected through covenant relationships in which Bishop Yelverton serves in general leadership, planning and expanding the outreach of the Network. Bishop Yelverton is married to the lovely Sharon Anthony Yelverton of Gastonia, NC, and he is the proud father of Germain, Kendall and Kendrick. Bishop Yelverton’s personal motto scripture is 2 Corinthians 4:5, 7 which reads, “For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake… But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us.”
